ROUNDTABLE: Are Political Parties Ready for 2026 Elections?

The Political Parties Council has issued two key directives ahead of the 2026 General Elections, setting June 30, 2026, as the deadline for political parties to complete registration and requiring all registered parties to submit audited financial accounts for the 2025/2026 year within the first week of July. But the big question remains: Are South Sudan’s political parties ready to meet these requirements and take part effectively in the upcoming elections?
