Core objectives

Register/Deregister Political Parties

Under Regulations 14, 15, 16, 17,18 Sections 6,7 and 32 of the Political Parties Act, 2012 as (amended) 2022

Supervise Political Party Operations

We offer guidance and supervision aimed at protecting the integrity and authenticity of Political Parties.

Regulate Political Party activities

The PPC has an established framework that provides procedures for regulation of political parties.

Allocate obligatory funds

Under provisions of Section 34 and 35 subsections 1(a) and (b) of the Political Parties Act 2012 as amended in 2022

The Political Parties Council | PPC was reconstituted in November 2023 by H.E Salva Kiir Mayardit President of the Republic of South Sudan under the  Political Parties Council Act, 2012 (Amendment) Regulations, 2022.

The Political Parties Council | PPC plays a crucial role in registering political parties, protecting and preserving the integrity of Political Parties and ensuring a fair and transparent electoral process in South Sudan.
